have access to purchase strings. Read on ...
The Second Strings Project was started
by
Darryl Purpose & Kevin Deame in an effort to
provide strings to musicians the world over.
The recipients of these strings are doing
whatever it takes to keep their musical culture alive.
There are several ways to get your
old strings
headed in the right direction....
You can drop them off at Stage 5 or Stage 6
at the Walnut Valley Festival this September.
or
Send them to Stage 5...

Due to the huge response we've had
(more than 10,000 sets of strings collected to date!)
we cannot continue to collect single strings.
It has become unmanageable.
Thanks to caring musicians Stage 5 has
collected over
75 pounds of used strings since we joined in with this project.
This could be an excellent project for acoustic music
organizations. So when you think that your strings are
dead and lifeless and they just don't have that sweet
ring anymore take them off and SAVE them. Bring
them to Winfield or send them in and help out our
brother and sister musicians around the globe.
